Creative Designer | Marketing & Communications

  • Bachelor or Masters
  • Fulltime

Do you want to be part of a young, hungry start-up working towards electrifying the world's vehicles and machines? Do you want to feel the exhilaration of working with a team of like-minded future-forward people using cutting-edge tech to create advanced battery systems? Then we think you might just belong with the ELEO crew!

We're growing every day, which means we need more fresh minds joining the team. Right now, that means we’re looking for a Creative Designer brimming with ideas to help create visuals that represent the ELEO brand!

What will you do as a Creative Designer?
At ELEO we provide cutting-edge battery systems with a superior energy density to power a wide variety of electric applications. You will be creating designs for various visual projects for ELEO on the Marketing-Communications team.

As ELEO’s new Creative Designer, you'll be dealing with:

  • Assisting the creative team on all aspects of our company's design output.
  • Design, visual merchandising, and style guides.
  • Creation of social media assets
  • Working across a variety of projects, designing toolkits, branding, print and digital.
  • Taking existing creative direction and delivering various types of output such as social content, presentations, event materials and invitations.
  • Editing original content in Premiere Pro and After Effects.

A Day in the Life of a Creative Designer:
Your day kicks off with a cup of coffee. You check your email/messages, then check in with Content Creator Luan Andrade on ongoing Design projects and discuss what awesome edits you’ve made. You then meet with copywriter Kat Gurley to go over the ideas for the new newsletter ELEO is going to start sending out. You get a nice flow going, and by the end of the meeting you have several ideas on visuals. You start layout out some basic designs to be fleshed out later, then go down the list of ongoing projects and start in on the ones that take priority.

Around 12:30 it’s time for lunch. We have free lunch right in the ELEO breakroom, or if it’s a nice, sunny day you head outside to catch some rays with your teammates on a lunch walk. And of course, there’s always the opportunity to have lunch at the canteen of the Automotive Campus.

Then it's back to it! You have a meeting with Head of Communications Lesley Koolen. You brainstorm ways to represent the brand, whether with videos to be shared on LinkedIn and other outlets, or photography/renders that need to be produced. You’re building a huge library of media for the brand, so there’s plenty of things to be done!

A convention is coming up. You work with event planner Anneke Godding to make sure you know exactly which designs need to be produced, and how to put ELEO’s best foot forward.

There will be quite a bit of signage, and everything needs to be cohesive and on point! Lesley, Kat, and Luan guide you with this, but you’re confident that you’ll be able to knock it out of the park.  Our team is very dynamic and approachable, feel free to ask them anything.

The day is almost done, so you update your to do list for the next day and send an update to the team asking for feedback on the awesome design you just made. Luan has a few notes, but overall, it’s a hit! You take the constructive comments and make a note to address these tomorrow.

You wrap up your work and it’s time to go home! You had a dynamic and productive day and got a ton of great work done with your team. Enjoy your evening and see you tomorrow!
