Junior Embedded Software Developer | R&D

  • Bachelor
  • Fulltime

Do you want to be a part of a young, hungry start-up working towards electrifying the world's vehicles and machines? Do you want to feel the exhilaration of working with a team of like-minded future-forward people using cutting-edge tech to create advanced battery systems? Then we think you might just belong with the ELEO crew!

We're growing every day, which means we need more fresh minds joining the team. Right now that means we’re looking for a Junior Embedded Software Developer brimming with ideas to come on board and take the battery industry by storm with us!

What you will do as a Junior Embedded Software Developer?

At ELEO we provide cutting-edge battery systems with a superior energy density to power a wide variety of electric applications. You will be responsible for developing new features in the battery pack software.

As ELEO’s new Junior Embedded Software Developer, you'll be dealing with:

  • Implementing software for the battery packs with the software team based on discussions and requirements
  • Independently thinking of solutions and research on implementation details
  • Discussing ideas with the rest of the team

A day in the life of a Junior Embedded Software Developer:

Your day kicks off with a cup of coffee. You check your email/messages, then join daily stand up with the software team. You tell about your plans for the days. Your teammate Sebastiaan Verhoek approaches you to discuss a new requirement for the scheduled charging feature you’re working on.

Then you take a deep dive into your code, which compiles just in time for your lunch break at 12:30!

There is always an opportunity to have lunch at the canteen of the Automotive Campus, or we serve lunch at ELEO itself! If it’s a nice, sunny day you head outside to catch some rays with your teammates on a lunch walk. Our team is very dynamic and approachable, feel free to ask them anything.

Then it's back to it! You test the hardware to see your freshly-implemented feature in practice. You have a meeting about a merge request you previously submitted, and questions you have about the feedback.

You wrap up your work and it’s time to go home! You had a dynamic and productive day, and got a ton of great work done with your team. Enjoy your evening, and see you tomorrow!
