What will you do as a Tech Recruiter?
At ELEO we provide cutting-edge battery systems with a superior energy density to power a wide variety of electric applications. You will be taking ownership over the full lifecycle of Recruitment and help strategically build a wide variety of technical teams. You will also be supporting and implementing our ATS, providing interview techniques trainings, and organizing and attending recruitment events.
As ELEO’s new Tech Recruiter, you'll be dealing with:
- Growing our technical departments
- Supporting and training hiring managers to optimize the interview process
- Finding creative and resourceful ways to source and engage with top talent
- Building a strong relationship with the hiring managers
- Helping to further diversify and promote an inclusive hiring process
A Day in the Life of a Tech Recruiter:
Your day kicks off with a cup of coffee. You check your email/messages, and then walk over to R&D department to speak with Sebastiaan Verhoek to discuss requirements for the urgent vacancy for R&D control engineer. He clearly lays out the details for you, which you thoroughly note down for when you’re on the hunt.
For a current vacancy in the applications department, you screen CVs for potential candidates. There are quite a few that look promising, so you contact them and request a quick call to see if they warrant further action. One of them is available tomorrow, so you schedule a call with them in the morning.
You then sit it on an interview for the Mechanical Engineer role. It goes very well, and after discussing with hiring manager Bas Rijs, you agree that a call back is in order. 😉
Around 12:30 it’s time for lunch. We have free lunch right in the ELEO breakroom, or if it’s a nice, sunny day you head outside to catch some rays with your teammates on a lunch walk. And of course, there’s always the opportunity to have lunch at the canteen of the Automotive Campus.
Then it's back to it! You spend some time sourcing interesting profiles on LinkedIn. At 2 you have a call scheduled to offer someone a position at ELEO! They excitedly accept, and will start at the beginning of next month. Success!
You then speak with Event Planner Anneke Godding about an upcoming career event. You want to make sure that the necessary people from ELEO will come, and that we have a nice booth to attract potential employees. She brings in Content Creator Luan Andrade to advise on our visual presence/branding and how best to represent ELEO at the event. They are super helpful, and you’re confident ELEO is going to be a huge hit at the event!
Your final appointment is with Talent Acquisition Lead Stephanie Fernandez to discuss ways to improve recruitment. You’re full of ideas, and one that you both think would be great to start with is to do interview techniques training to make sure the interview process is more streamlined and yields the best results.
You wrap up your work and it’s time to go home! You had a dynamic and productive day, and got a ton of great work done with your team. Enjoy your evening, and see you tomorrow!
