What will you do as a Process / Industrial Engineer?

As an Industrial / Process Engineer in part of our team, you are continuously providing expertise and support for a variety of industrial engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include realizing and developing the production process and goods flow in the battery industry to help ELEO produce high tech batteries on a large scale. This is a complex and challenging role, as our battery technology is advanced, high quality, safety critical and produced through a bespoke semi-automated process. Safety, ergonomics, quality, capacity, and costs are critical parameters.


As our Process Engineer, you'll be:

  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and objectives.
  • Applying industrial / Process engineering principles to analyze and optimize complex processes.
  • Conducting work time and motion studies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
  • Utilizing simulation and modeling tools for process analysis and improvement. (See below)
  • Implementing lean manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Contributing to the industrialization process, ensuring seamless project transitions from development to implementation.
  • Subsequently, you meticulously configure the process steps within ODOO to facilitate the production of our battery technology platforms.
  • Additionally, you provide the necessary expertise and operational tools (planning, tooling, line feeding, balancing, work instructions, and training) to ensure optimal knowledge transfer.

Requirements/Background

  • At least a relevant HBO education in a technical field; or a relevant Bachelors degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in a production environment ideally within the battery industry;
  • The ability to seamlessly communicate with technical leads, management and our colleagues on the shop floor,
  • We seek people with a passion for technology advancement along with a strong affinity for continuous improvement and design;
  • Proven experience in process engineering, process optimizations, work instructions, line balancing and Lean manufacturing (DFA, (P)FMEA, & 5S);
  • Experience with an ERP (ODOO) and PLM tools;
  • Enjoyment in implementing significant changes while also having a keen interest in making incremental improvements. Your experience with project-based work will aid you in this regard;
  • You thrive in a dynamic production environment, where daily challenges and a diverse range of individuals are the norm.
  • Hands-on mentality & proactive team player
  • Lean Six Sigma certificate is a plus
  • Great communication skills both verbal and written in English
